Proposed food truck restrictions concern Louisville operators

June 10, 2019

Louisville food truck operators have problems with recently proposed changes to a food truck ordinance discussed Tuesday evening by the Metro Council, according to WHAS-TV. Members of the local food truck association say that the language does not provide clear standards.

Section 13 of the ordinance states that the director of the department of codes and regulations and/or the director of metro parks, and/or the director of public works can "limit, restrict, prohibit or impose conditions on vending in certain locations as deemed necessary for health and safety."  Food truck owners said the restrictions are too vague.

The metro council will discuss the matter in two weeks.
