A proposed bill in St. Louis would help improve food truck operations in the city, such as by expanding food truck zones and simplifying requirements, according to a report by First Alert 4.
Under current ordinances, food truck operators have to receive several licenses and are heavily limited in where they can park their vehicles in the city.
"You know when a food truck operator tries to get their license, they have to get a street department license, they have to get a license from the license collector's office, a fire suppression from the fire department, a health department license and once they get them, then they realize they can only operate in like probably two spots in the city," St. Louis City Alderman Rasheen Aldridge said in the report.
The state of Missouri is also considering a single statewide license that would work across the state.
