Restaurants in Georgia town petition to regulate food trucks

December 1, 2017

Hahira, Georgia, restaurant owners have signed a petition demanding a law to regulate food trucks, according to WALB-TV

Food truck owners, however, claim the law — if passed — would hurt their businesses.

City Manager Jonathan Sumner said there are no rules or regulations in place for food trucks, and the city has been reviewing neighboring cities' regulations. City officials are researching permits, inspections and registration fees.
