Chef Elmy Kader grew up in Egypt so it's not surprising he named his food truck The Royal Egyptian.

The Berkeley, California operation is all about offering dishes that leave customers feeling pampered and satisfied, according to a Berkeleyside report.

"My joy in life is to feed people," Kader told the news outlet. "I've traveled the world, and the best food is street food. My philosophy is very simple. If I can't pronounce it, I don't use it. If it is longer than five syllables, it's man-made and I don't touch it."

While menu items rotate, it always offers a vegetarian soup, some option of kofta, gyro, falafel, marinated chicken and sometimes halibut or beef burgers.
