The San Diego County Board of Supervisors has approved by a 4–0 vote a measure to let food trucks and other small agricultural businesses operate fee-free at community events under a pilot program, according to a cbs8 report.
In a related move, the board approved a plan to set up agricultural incentive zones in which vacant or blighted land can be used to raise agricultural crops in exchange for a tax benefit. The latter program may take up to 15 months to launch, the report said.
