A San Francisco Board of Supervisors leader is proposing legislation that would allow restaurants undergoing mandated retrofitting, to protect against earthquakes, to operate food trucks in the interim period, according to a report in Mission Local.
The plan, according to a Mission Local report, is being proposed by Supervisor Rafael Mandelman. It would let restaurants obtain a temporary permit to operate food trucks if they have to close during a city-mandated seismic retrofitting project.
Food trucks normally cannot operate within 75 feet of a storefront and cannot operate near a school location.
