The Santa Barbara, California City Council unanimously approved a zoning ordinance limiting food trucks on private property, according to noozhawk.com.
Food trucks and other mobile food vendors are not presently permitted on private property, even though some property owners allow trucks to park in their parking lots.
The new rules allow trucks in the city for four hours per day up to 90 days per year. City officials on Tuesday said they will consider ways to allow the trucks to add more days.
The food trucks also cannot be within 500 feet from each other.
