Savannah food truck festival set for June 4

The Savannah Food Truck Association will host its third food truck festival from noon to 6:30 p.m., June 4, in Daffin Park in Savannah, Georgia, according to dosavannah.com. Ryan Giannoni, association president, said about 40 trucks are expected, 30 of which are standard food trucks, the rest being boutique trucks and food trucks for dogs.

The event is free, but people can purchase a special VIP ticket online to enter at 11 a.m.

This year's event will feature wine along with the usual craft beer.

The association also unveils its latest charity project, the Food Truck Philanthropy's disaster relief plan. Giannoni said it is a way to help those who stay behind in disasters to help the community.
