Pensacola Habitat for Humanity announced the second annual Pensacola Hot Wheels Food Truck Festival on Apr. 22, according to The Pensacola News Journal. Hosting a variety of food trucks in downtown Pensacola, Florida, the event will welcome families, food lovers and adventure seekers.
The annual free event will see even more food trucks, more space and a longer event time to accommodate food lovers. The event will be held on Apr. 22 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Plaza de Luna.
The food truck lineup has more than doubled from last year's nine trucks to 19 vehicles. The food trucks will participate in a competitive tasting competition with two categories, savory and sweet, judged by local community leaders and celebrities, and will feature an award ceremony.
The lineup of food trucks includes 3-D Burgers and Tea, Arepas by Samantha's Gift, Barbasian, BellyBusters Food Wagon, Ben's Burga Kaboos, Busy Bee Al Fresco, Good to Go, Hip Pocket Deli, I LUV Lemonade, Joe's Caribe, Jordan Valley, Lone Star Kitchens Tex-Mex Grill, Nomadic Eats, Rolling Embers Wood-Fired Pizza, Snowbiz Shaved Ice, The Beachy Barista, Trolley Stop Ice Cream Shoppe, Twisted and Corny and Two Birds Street Food. Gulf Coast Brewery rounds out the partnerships for the event.
Entertainment will include live music by The Wide Open and the opening act performed by Xaris Waltman and Zena Carpenter. Cat Country will report live from the event all day.
Proceeds from the festival will be used to further Pensacola Habitat for Humanity's mission of building homes, community and hope to create healthier, sustainable neighborhoods.
