South Carolina food truck offers a bit more than cold sweets

May 7, 2020

It seems ice cream trucks aren't just for kiddies anymore.

A South Carolina food truck operator has expanded beyond favorites for children into boozy ice pops for mom and dad.

In fact the truck makes it very clear it's all about bringing adult beverages to customers given its apt name — Booze Pops of Myrtle Beach.

Local residents can visit the truck's Facebook page to request a visit, according to a report at The News & Observer.

Owner Adam Eversen said traveling to the customer is helping him stay in business during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic which has shuttered parks and business districts — locales where food trucks typically park and sell.

"It started off really slow in March when we started, but it’s been gaining speed to the point where we’re getting tons of messages a day and I’m trying to get to as many neighborhoods as I can," Eversen told the news outlet. "People … still want to have some fun."
