South Carolina home to batch baking food truck

The Girl Nextdough, a food truck in Charleston, South Carolina, will soon be serving up small batch baking food options, from breakfast burritos to bagels, this summer.

The truck is owned and run by pastry chef Caitlin Schumacher, according to a Charleston City Paper report, and she's hoping to fill a void left by another food truck that used to serve up breakfast and sweets.

"I grew up in North Carolina and my dad is a big-time baker. He had me standing on a chair making pies and biscuits from when I was six years old," Schumacher told the news outlet.

A North Carolina native, she moved to Charleston with her family six years ago and hopes to launch the food truck some time this month.
