The Dogs on Wheels, a mobile food cart in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, has opened a physical brick-and-mortar location on Ocean Boulevard.
"The idea was to kind of bring the New York style hot dog that you can get off the street corner in a cart into a restaurant environment," owner Duane Greer told The Sun News. He owns the cart and restaurant with partner Ivan Santos.
Initially the partners operated the hot dog cart in North Carolina and then relocated to Myrtle Beach. The popularity of the brand's hot dogs are due to a special seasoned liquid that took five years to get perfect, according to the news report.
The cart and restaurant also sell sausage, nachos and pulled pork sandwiches. The duo also regularly provide food and discounts to local healthcare, police and military members as a way to express their gratitude.
