South Lake Tahoe food truck event canceled due to lack of sponsors

On Course Events has canceled the inaugural Tahoe Truck Stop Food Truck Weekend in South Lake Tahoe, California, citing limited sponsor support, according to The Tahoe Daily Tribune. The event, set for July 14-16, was to include eight food trucks at the American Legion in South Lake Tahoe.

Leslie Schultz, sales and promotions director for On Course Events, said it ended up not being financially feasible to bring the food trucks to one place for three days. The costs included bringing a water pump truck from out of town.

The company is not giving up on bringing Tahoe Truck Stop Food Truck Weekend to the South Shore, and is working on getting more sponsors for next year.
