SpotOn, a restaurant management systems provider, is partnering with the U.S. Small Business Administration to assist restaurants in gaining funds from the $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund, a part of the American Rescue Plan Act, according to a press release.
SpotOn will help facilitate the applications for free, and will allow clients to upload data to their SpotOn Restaurant point-of-sale system.
"SpotOn was built to do whatever it takes to ensure restaurants succeed. After a year where restaurants were hit particularly hard by the pandemic, we are thrilled to be able to ease the application process for our clients and help them quickly get the relief they deserve," Zach Hyman, co-CEO of SpotOn, said in the release. "As restaurants fully reopen, the loans will be essential to rehiring, restocking inventory, and making the modifications and investments in technology they need to operate at full capacity again."
The company has helped restaurants and small businesses stay open since the beginning of the pandemic by waiving $1.5 million in software fees, assisted with PPP loan applications and introduced private lending through SpotOn Capital.
