Springfield, Ohio moving forward on food truck rules, restrictions

February 4, 2020

The increasing number of food trucks in Springfield, Ohio has lawmakers mulling action when it comes to food truck regulations and restrictions.

Several proposals were presented to the city commission last week, according to a Springfield News Sun report, and the proposed rules focus on truck cleanliness, music volume and distance from physical restaurants.

The report noted there were 106 food trucks as of 2017 and 111 licenses issued in 2019 alone. The commission is expected to vote on the proposals next week.
