The city of St. Paul, Minnesota will allow food trucks to return to a parking area on the city's east side after prohibiting them, according to a Star Tribune report.
The city's department of planning and economic development reversed a decision to ban the food trucks after food trucks complained on Facebook.
The city posted a "no trespassing" sign on June 4 and erected barricades in front of the parking area in the city's Hillcrest neighborhood where food trucks had served customers for years.
The Facebook posts attracted the attention of Bruce Corrie, the city's director of planning and economic development. Corrie met with food truck operators last week and decided the barricades will be removed once an agreement is finalized with the city. He said trucks will be able to return to the lot in the next few days.
