Stamford, Connecticut lawmakers will vote on a proposal to create a food truck committee to resolve disputes between food trucks and restaurants, according to The Stamford Advocate.
The restaurants blame food trucks for trash, drunken fights and lost business to food trucks. Restaurants also claim food truck owners park their personal cars for extended periods outside their businesses to reserve the spaces for their trucks at night.
Food trucks owners dispute these claims.
The city board of representatives will vote on the proposal Monday. The ordinance will create a food truck committee that has the authority to decide how trucks operate in certain neighborhoods.
