Syracuse mall location now a food truck hot spot

The Great Northern Mall in Syracuse, New York is now home to an increasingly popular food truck event on Wednesday nights.

The Syracuse Food Truck Association, back in May, launched a food truck location at the spot in Clay and event attendees now number up to 4,000, according to a Syracuse.com report.

The success of the Wednesday weekly event is leading to a second night of food truck fare at a former ShoppingTown mall site in DeWitt that will kick off Aug. 3, and run from 4 p. m. to 8 p.m.

In September the association will host its annual Food Truck Battle, in which dozens of trucks from Syracuse and Rochester compete, at the New York State Fairgrounds.
