Maine town to upgrade park for food trucks, farmers market

Lawmakers in Mount Desert, Maine, have agreed to upgrade a section of Veterans Memorial Park for food trucks and a farmers market, according to the Mount Desert Islander.

The selectmen approved the Harbor Committee's recommendation to pave and provide electricity to a corner of the park, creating a permanent location for the food trucks and the market. 

Tony Smith, public works director, said he will find funds for the design and engineering work.
