Tacombi, which launched in 2006 as a taco-serving bus on the sands of the Yucatán and now operates 17 taquerias, has opened its first taqueria in Chicago.

The Mexican restaurant is located at 126 N. Peoria, near the Fulton Market's Restaurant Row, according to a press release.

"Our goal has always been to share and highlight the beauty of Mexican food and culture, and with Chicago being home to the best Mexican food in the country, we're honored to share and be on this journey with the community," founder Dario Wolos said in the release.

The taqueria spans over 3,800 square feet of space and guests are greeted by a counter service where they can place their orders. The space offers a retractable garage door that will be open during the warmer summer months for al fresco dining. Tacombi will be open for lunch and dinner service seven days a week.
