Tampa Bay food truck group introduces food truck locator app

Tampa Bay Food Trucks, which works with 120 food trucks in the Tampa Bay, Florida area, has introduced an app to enable food truck lovers to find their favorite food truck, according to the Tampa Bay Times. The app is available for iPhones and Androids.

Michael Blasco, chief eating officer at Tampa Bay Food Trucks, said the app updates truck schedules. He said food trucks often don't update their schedules, creating situations where people go to locations expecting to find a food truck that isn't there.

When a user downloads the app, they can "like" their favorite food trucks and be alerted when a truck is nearby. The app shows the truck's menu and provides directions.
