Tucson, Arizona is home to a food truck serving up Bolivian street food.
The truck, called Sumaj, is run by mom and daughter team Alexandra Gutierrez and Rocio Calderon and the recipes are also a family affair as they come from Alexandra's grandmother, according to a Tuscon.com report.
"You can find even homemade food on the streets of Bolivia. We are very proud of the food. McDonald's closed because Bolivians love their own food so much," Alexandra told the news outlet.
The menu features a Bolivian empanada called saltenas which can be eaten as breakfast or lunch fare. There is also tucumanas and relleno de papa. On the beverage side there is a family recipe for a tea, featuring dried peach and cinnamon, called mocochinchi.
The truck serves from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday through Saturday at 403 N. Sixth Avenue.
