Tennessee city considers food truck regulations

March 14, 2019

Franklin, Tennessee is considering allowing food trucks in public parks, at special events and on private property where restaurants already exist, according to the Tennessean. Food trucks on private property for more than three hours would be required to offer workers access to a bathroom.

City planner Chris Andrews has worked with the Downtown Franklin Association and the Nashville Food Truck Association on the plan.

Food trucks are currently regulated under the city’s itinerant merchants codes, which require a $50 license annually.
