Tennessee city to boost food truck fees

May 23, 2019

The city of Clarksville, Tennessee is considering increasing fees on food trucks and other businesses, according to a Leaf-Chronicle report. The city has required a $2 fee for a peddler’s permit which city officials claim does not cover the full cost to process a permit application. Lawmakers want to increase the non-refundable application fee to $40 and require a $100 permit fee for approved applications.

The city council approved the first reading of the new law earlier this month, and a second vote is planned for June.
