Tennessee town to allow food trucks

January 28, 2020

Food trucks will be allowed in LaFayette, Tennessee under an ordinance passed by the city council, according to a Chattanooga Times Free Press report.

Food trucks will be prohibited from operating within 100 feet of a brick-and-mortar restaurant, and cannot park on public or private property without written permission from the property owner. Food trucks will also not be allowed to park in a public right-of-way, except for special events with city approval.

In addition, food truck owners will have to submit a $50 application, plus $100 for a year-long license.
