Lawmakers in Lufkin, Texas are seeking public input on plans for a food truck park, according to KTRE-TV. The city has set up a website to seek public comment.
Dorothy Wilson, the city zoning director, said the city has been trying several novel approaches to accomodating food trucks.
Food truck owners interviewed were not fearful of being in a lot together since they do not see one another as competitors.
Shorty Jackson. owner of Shorty's Smokehouse, supports the idea since it would provide a location for people interested in patronizing food trucks.
