Texas city to consider allowing food trucks

Vernon, Texas, city commissioners plan to discuss a proposal at their Feb. 5 meeting that would change city regulations to allow food trucks to operate within city limits, according to KDFX-TV.

During a Tuesday meeting, the commissioners said they favor a one-year permit that would allow food truck owners to park and serve anywhere they choose.

City Manager Marty Mangum said this provision could create problems for restaurants.
