The San Angelo, Texas, city council city has approved regulations updating where food trucks can park, according to gosanangelo.com. If the council approves the revisions during a second vote tentatively scheduled for Jan. 22, they will take effect six months later.
Under the proposed changes, trucks will be allowed to stay at one location for three consecutive days, after which it will have to leave that location for three days unless it is located at its commissary.
Food trucks will be permitted on streets for only four hours within a 24-hour period unless they have permission for a special event.
Trucks will not be allowed to park within 200 feet of a home or apartment, unless they are downtown.
Trucks will not be permitted to park within 100 feet of an operating restaurant's entrance unless they have the owner's permission.
