The county commissioners court in Tyler, Texas, will consider new food truck policies at its Tuesday morning meeting at the Smith County Courthouse Annex Building, according to the Tyler Morning Telegraph.
The court will rule on applications from vendors who want to operate food trucks in the T.B. Butler Fountain Plaza, a county property. The court also will consider whether to mandate new policies for food trucks operating on any county property.
Northeast Texas Public Health District, also known as NET Health, regulates food trucks in Tyler and Smith County. In addition, the city of Tyler regulates food trucks in its jurisdiction while the county has jurisdiction over Downtown Square, which it owns.
