The Bath House Cultural Center, in Dallas, Texas, may soon be home to a municipal food truck pilot effort.
The city is considering including the center as part of its mobile food vending zone pilot program, according to an Advocate report.
A task force set up focusing on mobile food trucks in business communities is also mulling recommended changes to legislation that would redefine the use of mobile regarding mobile food units and streamline the permit process.
Such changes could eliminate barriers to small businesses, boost healthy food options and make Dallas a food destination, according to the news outlet.
A city committee is considering two sites for the pilot program, the Bath House Cultural Center and the Pacific Plaza.
The number of food trucks to be included at the Bath House location hasn't been decided yet.
During the pilot program the city will gather data regarding customer satisfaction and vendors will be asked to provide revenue.
