Lawmakers in Texas are considering House Bill 2683 which would simplify processes for food trucks. The bill would eliminate many of the additional permits food trucks need to operate in the state, according to a report by KXXV.

In fact, food trucks would only need one permit for operation throughout the state. It would also require the Texas Department of State Health Services to set up online license applications and establish a database of licensees.

The bill would also prevent cities from keeping food trucks out of areas that already have restaurants.
