Texas town considers allowing food trucks

December 9, 2019

Nederland, Texas lawmakers will soon vote on a pilot program to allow food trucks, providing the owner lives in Nederland or also has a brick-and-mortar restaurant, according to a Beaumont Enterprise report. The trucks also must pass health inspections.

The program, which will take effect in January if the city council passes the law, will allow food trucks in the city for the first time in more than four decades.
