Food trucks in Teague, Texas will have to pay a $25 daily fee to sell in the city under a new ordinance, according to a KWTX-TV report.
One food truck owner, Melissa Goolsby, owner of Gooroo's Wood Fire Pizza, said she will not be able to continue operating in the city on account of the new fee.
City Administrator Theresa Prasil said the fee is appropriate since some of the trucks come into the city from other areas. She said most area cities charge $20-$40 for daily food truck permits. She said the city council will consider quarterly and annual options.
