Texas town to launch pilot program for food trucks

In a pilot test that begins next week in Pflugerville, Texas, food trucks will be allowed to serve customers within city limits with permit fees waived, according to the North Austin Patch. The test will run through the end of the year.

Historically, food trucks have been permitted only on a temporary basis during public and private events.
