Top 5 Minneapolis food trucks feature traditional American, Latin flavors

Midwesterners like traditional American fare, but Latin flavors are catching on, according to a CBS Local report. That much is evident from the five most popular food trucks in Minneapolis, according to Hoodline's ranking, based on Yelp reviews and the company's own "secret sauce."

Topping the list is Cafe Racer Kitchen, at 2929 E. 25th St. in Seward, which features Latin American fare, grabbing 4.5 stars out of 120 Yelp reviews.

Downtown West's Green + The Grain, at 800 LaSalle Ave., Suite 213, was runner up with 4.5 stars out of 51 Yelp reviews, offering salads, wraps and more.

Animals Barbeque, a Tex-Mex favorite at 1121 Quincy St. NE in Logan Park, came in at number three with 4.5 stars out of 33 reviews, offering barbecue and more.

World Street Kitchen Truck, at 2743 Lyndale Ave. South in Whittier, came in at number four with 4.5 stars out of 45 Yelp reviews. 

Rounding out the list at number five is Simply Steve's Mobile Food Truck, at 90 11th St., Nicollet Mall downtown, with 4.5 stars out of 37 Yelp reviews, offering traditional American fare.
