Tork, an Essity brand, has launched Tork Workflow for Restaurants, a guide designed to improve experiences for both guests and staff, maximize operational efficiency and ensure a hygienic and sustainable environment throughout restaurants. As food service leaders and employees face a fast-paced work environment and increasing expectations from guests, the offering helps reduce interruptions and improve the guest and staff experience, said Dotti Haynes, Tork marketing director of customer segment.
"Today's restaurants are under more pressure than ever to deliver a flawless and differentiating experience," she said in a company press release. "Too often there are important aspects of the workflow that get overlooked — we offer expertise to help find those gaps so our customers can do what they do best."
How it works
The service not only provides food service leaders with advice on how to make sure staff always have the hygiene tools they need, but also helps operators, managers and chefs discover ways to improve staff retention, save costs and do more with less throughout the restaurant. For example, if brands want to save staff time refilling dispensers while saving money on reduced waste they could look for controlled dispensing systems with higher-quantity refills, which can decrease unnecessary consumption yet hold more product to reduce the frequency of refills, Haynes said.
The Tork Workflow for Restaurants Guide found that 77% of restaurant employees agreed that service interruptions affect guest experience and that three out of four kitchen staff would be happier if their workplace was more organized. The guide, which is also available for download, includes tips based on over 50 years of sustainable hygiene management expertise.
