Tulsa, Oklahoma, food truck event canceled due to lack of sponsors

September 6, 2017

The annual Eat Street Tulsa event has been canceled after six years due to a lack of sponsors, according to the Tulsa World. The event was scheduled for October 14.

Jo Armstrong, who runs Eat Street with her husband, Chris, said they chose to cancel the event when potential sponsors could not commit. The event does not charge admission or take a percentage of the food sales.

Eat Street Tulsa began with 12 food trucks in downtown's Blue Dome District. The festival grew to include more than 40 vendors, live entertainment and a People's Choice and Judge's Choice awards.
