Virginia town restricts food trucks on private property

December 14, 2017

Food trucks in Leesburg, Virginia will not be able to operate on private property in business districts after the town council was unable to pass an ordinance approving the change, according to the Loudon Times-Mirror. The council tied 3-3 when voting on the ordinance.

Last month, council voted to allow food trucks to serve the town's industrial districts. Council postponed voting on allowing the trucks to operate on private property in the business districts over concerns that food trucks would compete with brick-and-mortar businesses.
