Virginia town to permit food trucks downtown

July 26, 2018

The city council in Portsmouth, Virginia, has decided to allow food trucks to operate downtown in cooperation with distilleries and microbreweries, according to WAVY.com. Trucks previously were prohibited from serving downtown except at scheduled festivals and concerts.

Lawmakers decided to change the rule after the Copper and Oak Craft Spirits microbrewery, which opened along High Street last year, said that it wanted customers to have access to food while tasting its beverages.
