ClusterTruck, a delivery-only restaurant concept, is expanding to Atlanta and plans to begin operations in the second quarter of 2018, according to whatnowatlanta.com. Chris Baggott, who launched the concept in Indianapolis in 2016, will open a kitchen downtown to support "virtual food trucks."
Customers will order food online, and local food trucks will deliver the orders. The orders are not cooked until one of the delivery drivers is in range of the kitchen, assuring the food is not prepared until the driver arrives at the kitchen.
The average menu item costs $10, while complete meals range from $15 to $20 per person. ClusterTruck already serves Indianapolis and Bloomington, Indiana; Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio; Denver; and Kansas City, Missouri.
