Virtual food truck delivery service comes to Cleveland

November 30, 2017

A virtual food truck meal delivery service called ClusterTruck is coming to Cleveland, according to Cleveland 19 News.

R.J. Wall, the lead brand ambassador for ClusterTruck, said 12 food trucks active in downtown Cleveland will participate in the virtual food truck. ClusterTruck prepares and delivers orders to customers who order online from the trucks’ menus.

ClusterTruck provides a food preparation and delivery service; there is no physical restaurant.

The downtown kitchen has a pizza station, a salad station, a taco station, a burger station, a Pho soup station and more.

The orders are not cooked until one of 40 delivery drivers are in range of the kitchen, ensuring the food is not prepared until the driver arrives at the kitchen.

If it takes 10 minutes to cook a pizza, for example, the order won't make it to the pizza station until GPS shows the driver is within 10 minutes away to pick it up.

In addition to Cleveland, ClusterTruck is already active in Columbus, Ohio, Indianapolis and Bloomington, Indiana.
