The Rainier City Council, in Washington, is working on a revamp of its food truck license regulation and passed a first reading this month.
The revision states food trucks can only sell from one fixed location and can't traverse various sites in the city limits without a special event permit. It also states the trucks must be less than 26 feet in length and either be parked near a bathroom facility, with hand washing available, or have such accommodations on the truck, according to a Daily News report.
The ordinance review began in March 2020. The revision also includes regulations pertaining to sewage disposal as well as truck attachments such as an awning. It would prohibit customer seating as well as vending inside a food truck.
