Williamsburg, Virginia food truck operators are frustrated by the city's regulations after being prohibited from participating in a two-day music festival they were scheduled to attend November 4-5, according to the Williamsburg Yorktown Daily.
The Big Bluesy, a two-day music festival, was slated to host food trucks at the Shops at High Street before festival organizer Steve Rose reached out to the city to make sure the land use was legal.
City Manager Marvin Collins III said the city did everything it legally could to assist the event, but after Rose contacted the city September 12 about the food trucks, there wasn't enough time to change the city's laws if they chose to do so.
The city only allows food trucks to operate on private property in a district created by city councilors in October 2016.
