The first Williamsport, Pennsylvania strEAT Food Festival will take place May 6 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. outside the Bayard Printing building, 1 Maynard St., said Jessie Novinger, city recreation director, according to The Sun-Gazette.
"This amazing event celebrates the food truck phenomenon sweeping the nation," she said. It features talented chiefs who operate food trucks, carts and trailers.
"We're looking forward to a successful first event and hope that it can grow from year to year," Novinger said.
Also, the event will feature a brewers' guild on site to offer samples of home brews from 1 to 5 p.m.
Additional vendors continue to apply for food and non-food space, she said.
