Wisconsin BBQ food truck expands with restaurant

A food truck operator in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is launching a physical restaurant in the town of Franklin.

Thomas Green, who has been running the Mr. Greens food truck since 2020, will be opening his brick-and-mortar location at 7740 S. Lovers Lane Road, according to a report at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Green was named the 2021 Elkhorn Ribfest Champion and launched his truck after losing his job when his employer closed the business.

"I didn't know what to really do next, but it was in my mind just to jump out and be an entrepreneur," Green told the news outlet. "Losing my job kind of pushed me into my destiny."
