World of Winter celebrates food trucks

The World of Winter Festival, happening this month in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is all about the food truck.

The event, run by Grand Rapids Food Truck Asssociation and Downtown Grand Rapids Inc., showcases local food trucks and proves food trucks are not just warm weather food options, according to a Fox17 report.

The trucks are offering lunch and dinner and include the Blue Chip Food Truck and StreetChefShaw.

"Food trucks don't have to operate for a season, they can operate in Michigan year-round." Lauren D'Angelo, vice president of the Grand Rapids Food Truck Association, told the news outlet. "This is a great opportunity for people to get out this winter, try out some newer food trucks or grab something from an old favorite."

The festival is taking place at the 555 N. Monroe Lot through March 6 every day except Mondays.
