The Casper Star Tribune in Casper, Wyoming, has encouraged the city council to be supportive of food trucks as it considers regulating food trucks.
The editorial encouraged city officials to build on the success the downtown area has recently enjoyed.
Noting that some restaurants have argued that the trucks take up limited parking, the editorial noted that parking challenges are an indicator of a healthier downtown.
It further noted there is a parking garage within easy walking distance, and that food truck patrons need to walk from wherever they parked just as patrons of the brick-and-mortar establishments. All downtown businesses must deal with the same parking situation.
