Q Pine BBQ Kitchen & Catering supports senior citizen volunteers

October 7, 2026

When COVID-19 put Drew Scott on furlough from his job at Horseshoe Casino, he had to find a way to pay the bills. He began by grilling BBQ out of his smoker. That small operation would later expand into a food truck operation.

Most recently, he attended a food truck event at Trinity United Methodist Church in New Albany, Indiana, benefiting the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. This program, a part of Hope Southern Indiana, helps connect seniors with volunteer opportunities, supporting food pantries, youth shelters and other organizations.

Food Truck Operator spoke with Scott in a video interview. Watch it in full above!
