Not every food truck aims to feed hungry people. That includes a food truck that will soon be trekking around Royersford, Pennsylvania.
The Off The Leash truck, owned and operated by Jill Schadler, aims to launch this weekend offering dog treats with a second purpose of helping out with dog rescues, according to a Patch report.
The idea for the truck, she told the news outlet, came from her love of rescue work and the increasing number of food trucks hitting the roads and how residents were enjoying food truck fare.
"I was raised by a small business father, and I thought why not take a concept and make a business of it?," she told the news outlet.
She partnered up with Canine Acres Bakery in Boyertown and Piggyback Treat Company, both run by former chefs.
While serving up treats to the canine crowd she aims to also provide information about pet adoption and helping to save animals.
