A unique approach to attaining food truck funding

A Charlotte, North Carolina man is using a unique approach to raise money for a food truck that will feed the homeless.

David Dominguez is trading items in the quest to reach enough money to launch the mobile food effort, according to a WCNC report.

"I just thought why not try to help them and journey with them and maybe give them a job and give myself a job by doing that," Dominguez told the news outlet.

Tapping social media, Dominguez started by trading a safety pin. Now the trade is an HD TV.

Once he gets a truck he hopes to open a brick-and-mortar restaurant and get a farm going to do farm-to-table fare.
